On August 1st, I had the pleasure of addressing the Bedford County Democratic Committee at their annual summer picnic. With even more in attendance than last year, more connections were made with voters concerned about the Trump administration and the unwillingness of Republicans in Congress, like our own US Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, to check his overreaches of power. Bedford citizens also posted their questions to multimillionaire Joyce since he never makes himself available to them in person.

Some of the questions they asked are:
Why did you vote to cut Medicaid and Medicare?
Why are you against the middle class?
How did you become so extreme?
Why did you vote to cut food stamps?
Cancer drugs for children or a $200million ballroom?
All excellent questions which I’m sure multimillionaire Joyce will never deign to answer.
The next day, I headed to Greencastle in Franklin County for Old Home Week where I learned the rich history of the Allison-Antrim Mansion and I met the owner of Eden Vintage, Ashley Keller Little.

Later, I headed over to Huntingdon for the Cornboil of the Huntingdon County Democratic Committee where I met with more concerned voters who received warmly my message of Democracy and wondered if multimillionaire Joyce would ever acknowledge the harm that the Huntingdon economy is suffering due to the federal failure to staff the Raystown Lake campgrounds adequately. The depressed tourism has been leading to less spending in town. Their pie auction is the stuff of legends. Many thanks to Commissioner Jeff Thomas for auctioning them.

After that, I enjoyed a fresh brew, good conversation, and live music at the Juniata Brewing Company. You can check out their cool events here: https://www.juniatabrewing.com/
On Monday, I attended an event in Harrisburg titled, “Families First, Not Billionaires.” I appreciated the opportunity to speak as a candidate who is fighting for Everyday Americans and not the ultra-wealthy.

On Wednesday, I was back in Huntingdon, meeting with voters at the Huntingdon County Fair. They shared what was on their hearts and minds and enjoyed some Democratic popcorn. I appreciated that they took my literature.
Later, I traveled to Franklin County, where I attended the Democratic Women of Franklin County Club 19th Amendment Tea at the Franklin County Visitors Bureau. Local historian Ann Hull presented brilliantly about the the rich history of Franklin County suffragettes. I appreciate all of the work those women did so I can run for Congress today.

Yesterday, I was back in Franklin County at Norlo Park for the annual Franklin County Democratic Committee picnic. There I addressed voters concerned for our Democracy. Thank you Ike Loften for the video.
All week long of course, I’ve been celebrating the incredible wins of the West Suburban Little League from Johnstown who have been participating in the Little League World Series for softball.
They are officially THE WORLD CHAMPIONS OF LITTLE LEAGUE SOFTBALL!
CONGRATULATIONS!
