Beth Farnham, Activist

Beth Farnham is a long-time resident of Conewago Township in Adams County, Pennsylvania and a champion of progressive causes. Currently an Adams County Democratic Committee member, Beth is dedicated to supporting candidates who recognize that Black Lives Matter, women’s rights are human rights, no human is illegal, love is love, gun sense saves lives, and science is real. Having marched and protested for these causes over the past several years, it is time for Beth to represent Pennsylvanians more substantively – in Congress – where these and other manifestations of our democracy can be enshrined into law.

Beth Farnham, Wife and Mom

Married at Gettysburg Presbyterian Church over 17 years ago, Beth and her devoted partner Rob are blessed to be the parents of two children who were baptized at that same church where they continue to be members. As a stay-at-home parent, Beth keeps a close eye on what most affects our children like gun violence, the number one killer of children in the US, and trends in public education. A member of Gettysburg for Gun Sense, Beth advocates several measures to prevent tragedy by firearms. Having enrolled her children in both brick-and-mortar charter, as well as cyber charter public schools, Beth is well-versed in school choice and the importance of quality public instruction. Recently, Beth served as a school board member for the Conewago Valley School District, where her children currently attend, increasing her knowledge and perspective on the fundamental value and right of public education.

Beth Farnham, Working Neighbor

Like many Pennsylvanians who live near the Mason-Dixon line, Beth is a native of Maryland, having graduated from Annapolis Sr. High School, Anne Arundel Community College, and Towson University. With a degree in Biology, French, and Secondary Education, Beth uses that knowledge, in addition to her past experience as a credit analyst, an administrative assistant for an aerial work platform manufacturer, a pharmacy technician, and a facilitator of Medicare B equipment claims, to do some occasional work for an artificial intelligence company.

Raised primarily by Republicans, Beth, always sympathetic to humanitarian causes, existed as a registered Republican for over 25 years, until she fully realized just how much the Republican party subverted American ideals of Democracy and actual Christianity for conspiracy theory and Christian nationalism, all while exalting personal freedoms to threaten others with firearms and pollution under Trump. It was Beth’s special privilege to vote for Democratic Presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton and all Democrats in the 2016 election. Since then, Beth has voted for Democrats up and down ballot and proudly registered as a Democrat in 2019. While she still loves trips to the Atlantic ocean and everything crab, Pennsylvania is her home because that is where her heart is.

Hi Neighbor!
