Dear Neighbor,
Thank you for reading my District Round-up. As your candidate for Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District, it is my honor and pleasure to deliver to you where I’ve been and what issues I’ve tackled in the past week. Criss-crossing the counties of Adams, Franklin, Fulton, Bedford, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Cumberland, and Somerset gives me great opportunities to meet with voters, hear what is on your hearts and minds, and the chance to voice my fight for Everyday Americans. If you would like to contribute to my campaign, please donate here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/beth-farnham-for-congress-1

During this holiday season, I hope that you and your loved ones enjoy your time together. As I turn more of my attention to a celebration of my faith and family, I am reminded of the tenets many of us hold dear – to feed the hungry, heal the sick, help the poor, and welcome the stranger. It is in this spirit that Team Beth Farnham for Congress will be helping out at the Gettysburg Holiday Dinner on Tuesday. May we all feel the warmth of the holiday and have hope renewed for a better year.
I am grateful to the wonderful team I am working with this year and into next. If you haven’t gotten the chance, please check them out at Meet the Team!. They’re a great group of people with tremendous drive, experience, and reliability. And if you would like to volunteer for the campaign, I’ll have an even better update next week! Exciting things to come!

Yesterday, I was proud to march with others in support of Mr. Carlos Bonilla, who had been deported in a harsh way. I thank the organizers who put this together.
“CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Dozens of people marched through Chambersburg on Saturday morning following the deportation of Carlos Bonilla, a longtime community member who was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement last month and later deported to Mexico.” March Held in Chambersburg
The thing is, while Mr. Carlos did commit the crime of entering the country illegally once upon a time, he was a productive member of society, having worked here for decades, paying taxes, and having built his family. Our tax dollars do not need to be used to demonize, round up, and deport people like him just for reaching for a piece of the American dream. Just fine them, grant them citizenship, and use our tax dollars for something that improves our lives, like Universal Healthcare. In other words, let us actually welcome the stranger.
Until that happens, it is important that we keep showing up and speaking out about the egregious overreach of ICE, especially when it comes to established and beloved members of the community.
Many thanks to Natalie Koranda for having interviewed me.
“Beth Farnham, a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives for Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District attended the march spoke in support of Bonilla. ‘I did not know Mr. Carlos personally. I was touched by his personal story. He’s a beloved member of the community he serves, and I’m so grateful that the rest of the community turned out for him,’ she said.”
Unfortunately, our Commander in Chief does not share in this spirit. Not only is his administration kidnapping people without due process in The United States of America, he is fanning the flames of war internationally.
And so I raise the question – what happens when a rogue President of the United States unilaterally directs a naval blockade of another country which is unquestionably an act of war?
Well, if you’re our US Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, then the answer is…absolutely nothing.
In John Joyce’s world, the President IS the Congress who has the Constitutional power to declare war.
But for those of us in reality, only the US Congress, actually representative of Everyday Americans, i.e. The People, can authorize hostilities within or against Venezuela.
Mercifully, those members of Congress who understand their jobs are fast-tracking to the floor a recorded vote on whether or not Trump must end those hostilities. And considering that up to this point Venezuela has not been attacking the United States militarily, but the US has been “double tapping” supposed drug dealers with the full force of US military might at Trump’s direction despite no evidence of drug dealing, it is imperative that members of Congress vote to stop these international war crimes.
Of course, we can’t trust Joyce to vote the right way, the way of the Constitution, because he is such a bootlicker for Trump. But we can vote him out of office on November 3rd, 2026.
Please vote for me, Beth Farnham, instead, because I understand and would uphold my oath regarding which branch of government holds which powers.
Together, we #ChooseDemocracy and the US Constitution!

Many thanks to the Perry County Democrats for hosting their holiday potluck. I enjoyed speaking with them about the issues of our district and our plans for next year.
If you’re like me, you love this country as much as I do and work to make a positive difference. In the midst of this Constitutional Crisis, please consider reaching out to your local Democratic committees or Democratic candidates so that we can strengthen our Democracy instead of letting it slide into fascism.
We don’t just #ChooseDemocracy, we choose Pennsylvania, we choose The United States of America, we choose Humanity and I am deeply glad to work along side you.
Sincerely,
Beth
