Dear Neighbor,
Thank you for reading my District Round-up. As your candidate for Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District, it is my honor and pleasure to deliver to you where I’ve been and what issues I’ve tackled in the past week. Criss-crossing the counties of Adams, Franklin, Fulton, Bedford, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Cumberland, and Somerset gives me great opportunities to meet with voters, hear what is on your hearts and minds, and the chance to voice my fight for Everyday Americans. If you would like to contribute to my campaign, please donate here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/beth-fa,rnham-for-congress-1
Many thanks to the Perry County Times who published the following write-up of my attendance at the Perry County Democratic Committee picnic on September 28th.

On Wednesday, I wrote:
Why haven’t the Epstein files been released?
Because Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, won’t swear in Adelita Grijalva, the Democratic representative-elect of Arizona’s 7th Congressional District.
Well, the House isn’t in session, you might offer.
But Speaker Johnson can hold a “pro forma” session to swear her in just like he did when he swore in two other newly-elected House members this year.
The difference?
Those two House members were REPUBLICANS.
You see, Speaker Johnson doesn’t care about seating elected members of Congress if they’re Democrats.
He doesn’t even care about the words his office gave before – that he would swear her in on October 7th.
What he might actually care about is that, once sworn in, hers will be the required 218th signature on the discharge petition to force a vote to the House floor legislation regarding the release the Epstein files.
If there is a House floor vote, then it will be very clear which US House legislators side with sex-trafficking pedofiles and which ones don’t.
Meanwhile, US Attorney General, Pam Bondi, deflected questions about the sitting US President’s connections to Epstein in a contentious Senate hearing yesterday.
But the Epstein files are just child’s play when we consider her ruthlessness in trying to justify murdering alleged Venezuelan drug cartel boats based on no actual evidence.
Additionally, Bondi has not legally justified in any way the deployment of the National Guard troops to Democratically-led cities like Chicago.
Lastly, former FBI Director, James Comey,’s lawyer appeared with Comey in federal court yesterday, seeking quick dismissal of the case to which Comey pled “not guilty” describing the accusations as “vindictive” and “selective” prosecution because frankly, hers isn’t a real case against him.
In other words, it’s just another week, another round of unjustified murder, protecting pedofiles, attempting to incite violence, and targeting political foes by the Trump adminstration.
Our country doesn’t have to be this way. We have a path to sanity, integrity, restored trust with our allies, and strengthened national security. But that path is voting out Republicans and voting Democrats, like me, Beth Farnham, into Congress.

On October 18th, cities and towns across the USA and beyond will hold No Kings rallies because we are currently suffering a Constitutional crisis.
Like a king, the sitting US President is abusing the power of the Executive Office to prosecute his political foes. Yesterday, it was former FBI director, James Comey. Today, it’s New York Attorney General, Leticia James.
While James denied the charges of one count of bank fraud and one count of making a false statement to a financial institution as “baseless” and characterized the president’s actions as a “grave violation of our Constitutional order,” he, and US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Lindsey Halligan, are just plowing ahead.
Of course, it can hardly be a surprise that a convicted felon who, along with his company, was sued by James for inflating the value of some of his properties, lost more than $450 million in the civil business fraud case until the financial penalty was later thrown out on appeal.
It’s shockingly horrible that Trump is doing this, but the Revolutionary Founders recognized that sometimes the wrong people are in office, for whatever reason, and so they gave us the ability to correct this problem through the Articles of Impeachment.
However, we’re not seeing much traction from the Republicans who control Congress on any of the Articles of Impeachment that have previously been introduced.
This is because what is far worse than Trump’s violations of the US Constitution is that those who were voted into office to represent us are just fine with Donald J. Trump destroying the sanctity of our living US Constitution.
Our own US Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, through his silent condonement of Trump’s crimes, can’t break his oath to the US Constitution fast enough to permit Trump to ruin our country.
Trump has accused Democratic-led cities to be “the enemy within,” but it is Donald Trump himself who is our domestic enemy whom those oath breakers stubbornly refuse to admit.
Joyce’s sycophancy is so outrageous, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already prostrated himself at Trump’s gnarly feet.
But the rest of us, The People, do not accept Trump’s abuse of power. We stand powerfully against it and will demonstrate our collective might peacefully on October 18th. Please join us at any of the demonstrations listed on the link below.
As a wise man once stated in Gettysburg, our government has always been of The People, by The People, and for The People.
So when the time comes, vote out that smelly king and his cronies, vote for me, Beth Farnham, and when you do, you show the world that we #ChooseDemocracy .
On Friday night, I appreciated the opportunity to march on the Altoona Pride parade, sponsored by PSU. I was glad to march for LGBTQ+ equality and against bigotry.

Later, thanks to the Cambria County Democratic Party I spoke at their John P. Murtha dinner. I may not have brought joy regarding this constitutional crisis and Trump’s prediction for violence, but I brought solutions.

If you’re like me, you love this country as much as I do and work to make a positive difference. In the midst of this Constitutional Crisis, please consider reaching out to your local Democratic committees or Democratic candidates so that we can strengthen our Democracy instead of letting it slide into fascism.
We don’t just #ChooseDemocracy, we choose Pennsylvania, we choose The United States of America, we choose Humanity and I am deeply glad to work along side you.
Sincerely,
Beth
