In the Spotlight! (Reformatted Comparison & Contrast of Votes on Legislation Table for your convenience!)

Franklin County Cares!

How do the votes of our US Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, actively harm his own constituency?

– His votes remove food assistance from our hungry neighbors.

– His votes remove healthcare from our uninsured neighbors.

– His votes remove subsidies from our neighbors who subscribe to Pennie (Affordable Care Act) premiums.

– His votes keep the federal minimum wage stagnating at $7.25/hour.

– His votes permit our rogue president to waste our tax dollars and worldwide reputation on an endless war while the cost of fuel rises substantially.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, I spent time celebrating the first anniversary of Chambersburg Area School District’s Engagement Center which serves over 300 homeless students.

On Wednesday night, I listened to the excellent presentation from SCCAP at Gearhouse brewery regarding the dearth of affordable housing in Franklin County. Bonus – I spent time with Shannon Jackson, running for Pennsylvania’s 89th House District, and his wife, Maribeth Fish, member of Team Beth Farnham for Congress.

And on Thursday, I toured a local food pantry, Hungry Hearts, in Chambersburg to understand how the community rises to meet the challenge of starvation Joyce leaves in his wake.

Many thanks to Desi Ortiz and First United Methodist Church for feeding those in need with a wide variety of fresh, as well as shelf stable, foods. Hungry Hearts is available on Thursdays from 9am to 11:30am.

But the lack of representative engagement doesn’t have to continue. We can be represented by me, instead of Joyce, and stop a rogue president from wasting our tax dollars on murder and using them instead to take care of our neighbors in need.

While they didn’t win their special elections on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day, Todd Crawley, Democratic Nominee for PA State Representative 193rd District, and Caleb McCoy, Democratic Nominee for PA State Representative 79th District, performed very well compared to how Harris lost in 2024.

Moreover, they still have another chance in the general election.

With over 95% of the votes counted Todd received 40.3% of the votes compared to Harris’s 30.5% in 2024.

With over 90% of the votes counted, Caleb received over 42.4% of the votes compared to Harris’s 33% in 2024.

November 3rd is over 7 months away and with this cruel and incompetent administration, A LOT can happen between now and then.

I say to Todd and Caleb,

“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

$3.99/gallon of gas at the Sheetz in Cross Keys, Adams County?!?

Thank multimillionaire John Joyce and his Republican cronies for not stopping our rogue president.

Then vote for me in the May Primary election. If you’re a Democrat, my name will be printed on the ballot for you to choose.

If you’re a Republican, you can write my name in and darken the corresponding bubble instead of picking Joyce.

Charity of the Week!

Please donate, if you can, to Diaper Depot out of Central Presbyterian in Chambersburg. Diaper Depot has diapers for children and adults in need and opens once a month to provide growing families with breakfast and these necessary items. Dance for Democracy!

So much fun at the Dance for Democracy!

Thank you The People’s Town Hall of Gettysburg for hosting an uplifting get-together of music, food, and great company at the Beyond the Battle Museum last night. It was great to move and groove among like-minded people who care deeply about our county. We are refreshed to continue resisting a would-be king and his lackeys.

Don’t forget – NO KINGS demonstrations will happen around the country on Saturday, March 28th, including in our own 13th Congressional District. Contact your county Democratic Committee for more details.

Comparing and Contrasting Votes on Legislation

Check out how Joyce recently voted, how I would have voted in comparison, and why!

If you’re like me, you love this country as much as I do and work to make a positive difference. In the midst of this Constitutional Crisis, please consider reaching out to your local Democratic committees or Democratic candidates so that we can strengthen our Democracy instead of letting it slide into fascism.

We don’t just #ChooseDemocracy, we choose Pennsylvania, we choose The United States of America, we choose Humanity and I am deeply glad to work along side you.

Sincerely,

Beth
