District Round-up 04.05.26
Dear Neighbor, Thank you for reading my District Round-up. As your candidate for Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District, it is my honor and pleasure to deliver to you where I’ve been and what issues I’ve tackled in the past week. Criss-crossing the counties of Adams, Franklin, Fulton, Bedford, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Cumberland, and Somerset gives me great opportunities to meet with voters, hear what is on your hearts and minds, and the chance to voice my fight for Everyday Americans. Happy Easter, But Not Really

While the Christian world celebrates a holiday rooted in the life, death, and resurrection of their Lord and Savior, and the Jewish people celebrate the Passover of God’s mercy, our current U.S. President threatens to bomb the power plants and bridges of Iran in hate-filled social media posts.
Meanwhile, our current U.S. Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, does nothing, says nothing about his golden idol’s proposed war crimes. Neither Joyce, nor Trump, recognize their own hypocrisy of claiming to be Christian, yet calling for violence against neighbors. Their pseudo Christianity is stomach-turning, yet reflective of the Christian nationalism that has taken root in our nation. They are there because our neighbors chose to love hate rather than people who are different from them.
We face these uncomfortable truths every single day, but remain in this fight for our nation’s soul because we love our country, and I pray that one day, our neighbors will eventually see the light, not dropped from B-2 bombers, but from within.
Please spread the word of my campaign so that they know they have a real choice in leadership and representation.

How is This Unlike Nazism?

For those who don’t yet understand, we’re at the point when the government is now asking for lists of Jews.
“While we acknowledge the important role of the E.E.O.C. to investigate discrimination, we also have an obligation to protect the rights of our employees,” the university said. “We continue to believe that requiring Penn to create lists of Jewish faculty and staff, and to provide personal contact information, raises serious privacy and First Amendment concerns.” – University of Pennsylvania
Vote our disgraceful representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, out of office.Together, we #ChooseDemocracy and validate the sacrifices of WW2 veterans.

Pesach Sameach to All Who Celebrate!

Gas Prices Increase!

Guess what didn’t go down since the last time I posted?
Up by 20 cents, actually.
You can thank our own US Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, for this increased price of gasoline.
Vote for me, Beth Farnham, to check Trump’s aggressions so Everyday Americans don’t keep paying exorbitant prices for essentials.
Together we #ChooseDemocracy and Affordability!
A Lovely Community Dinner!

Many thanks to Stephanie Auer and her group, Gettysburg Community Dinners, for hosting their “Alice in Wonderland Easter Dinner” on Friday, April 3rd.
It was a joyous occasion of egg-dying, egg hunts, spring crafts, and breaking bread together.
Campaign Manager, Jack Stansbury, volunteered many hours preparing for the event and led the afternoon egg hunt which the children finished in a matter of minutes. I served pasta.
I am so proud to run in a district full of kind people who so willingly give to those in need.
May this community spirit continue to bless all involved.

Comparing and Contrasting Votes on Legislation
Check out how Joyce recently voted, how I would have voted in comparison, and why!
If you’re like me, you love this country as much as I do and work to make a positive difference. In the midst of this Constitutional Crisis, please consider reaching out to your local Democratic committees or Democratic candidates so that we can strengthen our Democracy instead of letting it slide into fascism. We don’t just #ChooseDemocracy, we choose Pennsylvania, we choose The United States of America, we choose Humanity and I am deeply glad to work along side you. Sincerely, Beth
