My Most Frequent Conversation With Voters
Fairgoer: Who are you running against?
Me: Our current U.S. Representative.
Fairgoer: Who’s that?
And that, Neighbors, is the conversation I hold the most with constituents of multimillionaire John Joyce.
Voters don’t know our current U.S. Representative because he hides from us.
He doesn’t hold Town Halls to tell us about his terrible votes or our stunningly beautiful Congressional District.
He doesn’t debate me to defend his terrible votes and philosophies.
He doesn’t pitch his tent at local fairs and festivals to speak with voters.
He doesn’t help the poor, or answer your phone calls.
He doesn’t write back about the issues you’ve written to him about.
He doesn’t criticize Trump for violating human rights and constitutional law.
He doesn’t believe in unionized workers.
In short, Joyce doesn’t do anything for Everyday Americans.
He only admires Trump.
So don’t vote for him in November.
Vote for me, Beth Farnham, to actually represent us.
We may not agree on everything, but you know I’ll show up for you because I do all of those things.

Labor Day is for Workers
This Labor Day, I spoke with voters in Juniata County, including this family giving away produce on my way to the Juniata County Fair whose local small business is the Electric Sign Company.
Many thanks to the Juniata County Democratic Committee who hosted me at their table on Monday. I spoke with so many people about the current threats to our national security, the unaffordability of our everyday essentials, and our voting rights under siege.
Everyday Americans are ready to take our country back from the ultra-wealthy and their cronies in Congress like our own US Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce. Today was a wonderful reminder of the marching generations who fought for livable wages and better working conditions that we enjoy today.
I am proud to be endorsed by the United Mine Workers of America, the National Education Association, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, the Pennsylvania Machinists Union, the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
I will continue their fights for a liveable federal minimum wage, a national healthcare plan, scrapping the cap of the social security contributions, the PRO Act, the Faster Labor Contracts Act, and more.

Remembering September 11th
As the nation mourned the Americans killed in the 9/11 terrorist attack 25 years ago on Friday, we reflected on the heros who saved so many lives.
Mr. Fred Rogers said, “Look for the helpers,” and they were there in full force – on the streets, in the stairwells, on the water, in the shops, and in the passenger cabin of Flight 93. Many lost their lives in the aftermath and we mourn them too, but because of their efforts, thousands more survived.
May we never forget the lives lost to unspeakable violence and the brave response of so many.
Gleaning to Help Hungry Pennsylvanians
Many thanks to SCCAP for coordinating a gleaning on Tuesday.
I was glad to pick corn for hungry Pennsylvanians though it isn’t really enough as food pantries struggle to keep up to with increasing demand since SNAP benefits were cut by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
You see, while elitists like our own US Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, are sequestering themselves in Trump’s gilded White-House-turned-palace, more and more Pennsylvanians are struggling to afford food.
“The majority of [new clients] that we’ve spoken to and asked these questions are people who have had their SNAP either cut or taken away completely,” Eagen said. “Most of them are working, and they just can’t make ends meet between their income and the price of gas.”
Joyce voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act as many times as it was put before him, ensuring his ultra-wealthy cronies get big beautiful tax breaks. He doesn’t care that Everyday Americans are in need of food. He cares that his rich friends can pad their pockets.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
We can vote him out of office on November 3rd by voting for me, Beth Farnham, instead. Then, I can work with other caring legislators to overturn that cruel legislation and strengthen our social safety nets like SNAP and Medicaid so this never happens again.

Small Business in PA-13
Sunday was a great day for eating delicious chili and washing it down with a cold beer at the Hanover Chili Cook-off.
Congratulations to All on the 30th year of success!
Even though Hanover is not in our 13th Congressional District, many Adams Countians call it home including Scorch and Stone Craft Lab. This local small business combined forces with another small business, Chu’s Hand-held Cuisine out of Harrisburg, to create a fantastic chili for the cook-off.

Celebrating PA-13
Today was a lovely day to celebrate the 13th Congressional District.
Thank you to Team Member Sandy Hartzell for walking the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance 5k with me in Fayetteville to fight breast cancer. Seeing and speaking with survivors was inspiring. And the ones I spoke to support a national healthcare plan that I would legislate because they recognize people diagnosed with breast cancer don’t need the added stress of not being able to afford care.
After that, I spoke with neighbors at The Good Neighbor festival in Chambersburg. It was great to catch up with so many friends who represent programs that help our neighbors like: Habitat for Humanity, BOPIC, PFLAG, and others.
Later, I attended the South Central Young Democrats picnic in Cumberland County where I met new people willing to work hard for progressive candidates. I even caught up with fellow candidates Sara Agerton and Nathan Wood. 2026 is our year!

Charity of the Week!
Even though charitable donations will not meet the overwhelming need of food assistance and healthcare for lower income Americans, these charities are a stopgap until I am elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and can legislate helpful federal programs as well as prevent a rapacious president from illegally impounding the congressionally-approved funds for those programs.
